ComEd Cannot Support Chicago’s Energy Grid!

Chicago’s electric infrastructure is woefully inadequate to move to an electric-only energy source. ComEd does not have adequate system capacity in the city or state for the amount of increased energy needed.

Additionally:

The U.S. is facing a nationwide transformer shortage that will result in significant delays in upgrading the grid.

  • Infrastructure upgrades will cost Billions. Who foots the bill? Taxpayers!

  • ComEd’s electric grid generation emits more carbon than natural gas, or alternatives, like renewable natural gas and hydrogen.

  • Why is City Council looking to increase ComEd’s profits?
