The “Clean and Affordable” Buildings Ordinance is Neither Clean nor Affordable.

Annual costs for electric heat are higher.

• First graph clearly shows the cost of electric heat is more than 2 times higher than natural gas even with new electric heat pumps.

• And ComEd will be asking for more rate hikes to pay for the improvements needed to accommodate the growing electric load required by this ordinance.

• Billions of new customer dollars will be required to pay for electric grid upgrades.

• Are you ready to dump those costs on your senior citizens and low-income residents by supporting this ordinance?
